Just sharing something nice. In this otherwise mercilessly hot climate...

Chinese Evergreen and Devil's Ivy plants, along with Conocarpus and Neem trees are doing very well - Bit all other plants are getting burned up.

Supposed to hit 100 today and much of the next 7 to 10 days here and when you factor in the humidity add 5 -15 more degrees to that. The Hackberry, Pecan and Chinaberry trees in our yard are loving it but I can not keep many of my plants wet enough to keep them happy.

More or less the same story over here too Toni. However since we are coastal, the humidity is never below 75%.

Ours depends on which direction the winds are blowing....from the north means nice dry air, from the south means a lot of moisture from the Gulf of Mexico and many of us walk around with hair that looks like a brillo pad...all frizzy hard to comb or brush. This morning the humidity is 72%

Air conditioner of my room is about to fail, (just can't keep up)... We are all waiting for the rainy monsoon season to start. As that lowers the temperature. But so far no rain clouds from the Arabian Sea.

We have a central air condition and heat system for the whole house and a window unit in each bedroom for night time use. Did I mention that for people born and raised in Texas, we can not tolerate the heat... at night especially.

Yes, scorching hot winds blowing outside during the nights nowadays. Which actually is a new weather trend, never before seem beyond 10 years back.
