Corn - Too Soon, Too Short?

    "They", meaning the silks, will get bigger?

    My THUMB is right up against it for reference.

    This is a sub-3 foot corn stalk. I wonder if the silks are already as big as they'll get given the runt the plant is to begin

    OH SeanLI, I'm SO hoping some gardener wiser than I am will have an answer for you. I do know that in past years I made mistakes galore.
    It's my experience that tomatoes also need sun. KUDOs for trying.
    Is that a bean plant growing up the corn stalk? I think that's a good idea

    Yes its a bean plant, but they're bush beans. Couldn't find any pole beans in the local garden stores, only bush beans.

    At least its fixing nitrogen into the soil for next years garden.

    And my current tomato plants are growing fine with our yards limited sun. Its just these corn plants that ain't doing their job properly o.0

    Sean, I grow tomatoes in less that 1/2 day sun & i get a good crop. Later than the tomatoes grown in full sun in the com garden, but a good crop nonetheless.
