Hi guys, I am planning my spring painting classes & wanted to share the paintings I came up with so far! I will be teaching people how to paint these paintings. Do you like them? Dandelions Painting ( photo / image / picture from heathercashart's Garden ) Peacock Feather Painting ( photo / image / picture from heathercashart's Garden ) Heather
I like the dandelion It is an active painting, as that is what dandelions do, much to the consternation of gardeners and those with lawns. The peacock is sort of static, like a reminder of what you should see but sometimes don't because the bird does not always show his feathers. Jerry
Excellent paintings and I'm sure your students will learn so much from you and enjoy themselves. I, too, like the dandelions and think it would look good framed and hung on a wall - my wall!!
Thanks, guys! It's so good to get feedback. It's funny because I thought that people would like the peacock feather the best, and I wasn't even sure if people would like the dandelion - I thought maybe it was too simple - but it seems like everyone likes the dandelion more! Jerry, I love your thoughtful response!
Hi Heathercashart - well, I liked them both! I like the fact that the subjects are organic and items that most everyone can relate to. They will like experiencing the different techniques used to create both paintings. I like the fact that one is asymmetrical and the other balanced. You have a great job, helping people pull from the creativity that lies inside them.
love love love the peacock feather but then I love anything to do with peacocks but I like them both just sway more to the feather
Heather I like them both. With my sense of humor I would have put eyes in the peacock feather and a smile to give it character.
I love both pictures, and they are in my favorite colors. The peacock is my favorite though. Someplace here locally is offering free classes, so I want to check into that.
