The wheelbarrow is just what I have been looking for. If it were mine, I don't think I would paint it. I like the old rusted look! The flowers would give it the color it needs. Great finds, Toni ;)

Oh I really like that chair Toni!!! How I wish I could persuade my neighbours to throw out such useful 'junk'. Mind you, before long, I wouldn't have any space left in my garden if they did!!! :D

Lucky you...I'm always looking to find new uses for old things. I also have an old chair with the caning gone that I converted into a flower planter, and it looks great.

When we moved to our home several years ago, I told the movers to put anything that looked like it belonged outside into the garage...they were bringing almost everything into the garage and they were hardly bringing anything inside of the house, as I've got lots of old things that have been converted into coffee tables, etc. One man's junk... Good luck on your next garbage day!!!

The chair wouldn't make it outside around here. We have one just like it in our garage that my husband is putting a new seat in for a customer. As far as my husand is concerned, no chair is beyond repair. He does furniture restoration and chair caning so we have lots of chairs around. I have trouble getting any away from him to use in the garden.

I would leave the wheelbarrow as is and fill it with hens and chicks.

What great finds. You could not have asked for any better and your ideas have me waiting for pictures because it is going to be eye catching. I want a wheel barrell in my garden too. We use ours a lot so I cant plant it but something hanging from it would be mar-vay.

Love it! I very well understand your reluctance to claim these finds. I scope out the loot and send hubby to collect it! He doesn't mind a bit.

Bethie make sure to give hubby a collectors hug becsuse my hubby would tell me to get the find myself. He is too timid. I once sent him to get a rose cutting off of a rose I had eyed in an abondoned lot for four years. He fell twice while trying to get one limb and once again on the way back to the car where I was waiting. He was looking over his shoulder so often until he was a danger to himself and I will never send him on a mission again even if he volunteered. It was too painful to watch. 007's job is safe.

    Lovely stuff/junk Toni.
I sure would love to see how you transform them.
I could not help but laugh when I read your post D2D.
I reminds me of myself when I tried to nick a plant in a nature reserve. I got the plant, however, the poor plant did nor survive in the city. I only managed to upset some wildlife.

    wheelbarrow

I love your finds. I also acquired a wheelbarrow, and love it. I saw a project on TV for them. You can fill the wheelbarrow with old white Christmas lights and add a glass top for a really cute lighted outdoor sidetable. It is adorable and useful. Have fun.
