I don't know the word for it, but there is also the "Trash compactor" or "Landfill" dishwasher loader. This one makes sure the dishwasher is packed too solid for water to reach the dishes, then packs in twenty more.

I just pretend nothing happened, and when unloading I put the dishes that aren't clean back in for another run. Some get washed by hand. Sometimes, I sneak-run the dishwasher in the night. Neurotic? Probably. If I get caught, I blame the "Dish Ninjas".

I’m afraid to admit it but I’m the ‘Landfill Dishwasher Loader’. Especially during heatwave summers. Have to save as much water as possible for the garden. We are on a water well that is over 500’ deep. During drought it takes a day or two to fill up the water holding tanks from the well. So no wasting water on dishes, clothing, or showers.
Get out the paper plates and cups pile up the laundry . No Joke. One of the disadvantages of high country operations.

@eileen Im with you. Put in a dish washer when we remodeled in the 90s and took it out to better use the space when it quit working. I enjoy doing dishes by hand, and I feel like it is so much less work than prepping dishes for loading, loading dishes and unloading. Guess we all have our preferences. Plus doing dishes is a bit like a spa treatment for the hands after a day of working outside.:setc_083:

    Automatic Dish Washing Machine.

Not sure how many dishes it can handle at once.

Great vid. I enjoyed the trial and error segments with each stage.

Loading the dishwasher feels like playing Tetris. And you have to be good in this game to reach the maximum efficiency. My husband is pretty good at putting in cups and fragile glasses, but I always end up moving things around to make more space. It's interesting how we both have our own way of doing it. Speaking of appliances, we once had a repair issue and found musiccityappliance.services. They're local to Nashville and fixed everything up for us.
