I was so excited to see the eagle in our trees my hands were shaking...It was tearing apart something, most likely a fish from Lake Winneconne where we have just moved into our new home at the end of September.
I was in the living room and I saw him fly to our trees so I grabbed my camera that I keep close to the porch door and quickly went outdoors.....it is chilly here and I didn't even bother waiting to get a jacket on...
Oh my what an exciting bird to see!! My hands would have been trembling so much I'd never have got good shots like yours. Well done Sherry!!
How wonderful to see such a magnificent beast...and to be able to photograph it. Well done, Sherry. How are things out at the lake, BTW? Are you enjoying it there? Keep your eyes open for Bill--he may have stowed-away in the moving van.
You are a character Sjoerd...I love it! We haven't had much time to enjoy it yet. My grandson with a hematoma on his spine and putting my father in law in a nursing home and another problem that just came up...we just melt in our chair in exhaustion at night and sip a glass of wine...
Your time to enjoy your new lakeside home will come, and be all the better for the wait. An eagle--how wonderful is that! Thank you for grabbing your camera instead of a jacket, and sharing your photos with us.
