    I used to fish that beach in the winter Daniel, it gets South Westerly gales where the waves crash over the entire road yet the Leeks survive the salt and the wind :eek:

    Found these today, Lamb's Lettuce, Valeriana locusta.

    It's self seeded from some I grew in a pot here a few winters ago. It's an old crop that you can pick as a salad leaf in the winter. Small but tasty :) Before it flowers it forms small clumps like a very small lettuce.
