Yesterday I made our first batch of Marinara sauce from our tomatoes. Two quarts in the freezer--although I put the sauce in smaller two or four-serving containers.
With the garlic, onions, basil, and tomatoes our kitchen smelled like Sicily on a good day. :D

Sounds delicious, can't wait to make some for us too.
I found the recipe from my late, first MIL the other day and remember how scrumptious it tasted and am waiting impatiently for the Roma toms to ripen....or I will just head to the local farmers market if I have to.
