I have one fluorescent lamp on my plants, do you think it would be a good idea to put another on them? I planted 2 moonflower seeds and a morning glory seed the other day, the moonflower seeds have already started to form sprouts, the calla lily is just kinda sitting there and the others have not done anything yet. My amaryllis leaves are over 3 feet tall! And on one plant I have new leaves growing! Do you think it would make any difference if I added another fluorescent light to the mix? I can add one more lamp or do you think it will make any difference?

How far away from the plants do you have the fixture? They really need to be about 3-5" away from the plants. So depending on how large the plants are you may need another fixture just because the size is so different.

My philosophy for growing plants indoors, is the more light the better. Not particularly scientific though.
