I't's hard to get a photo of a hawk in flight. They're so darned fast! My husband did get this photo as a hawk was soaring over the pasture. We can easily tell a soaring vulture from a soaring hawk. Hawks' wings are straight, while a vulture's wings form a V shape. V for vulture?
Great composition on that one. I find it magical to watch raptors in flight or not. There have been some great docu’s.
Well your husband did better than me. There was a Sparrow hawk in the back garden today. Every time I tried to get a photograph it moved and was obscured by branches.
Eileen, we have found that there is one very certain way to make birds disappear from the feeders and the yard. Just show up with a camera! Being either sneaky or patient doesn't help. The birds know!
