Heh heh heh...Droopy, it sounds like you were in heaven there for a couple of hours. I know that feeling...but I'll tell you what, in the end I almost always find a place for the new plants in the end (ou8tside plants, that is).

You knpow that I belong top a gardening club, right? Well a new garden center has opened just across the road from the allotment complex. Puur heaven!. So handy, and I can't wait to see what their selection of permanent plants, trees and shrubs will be this spring. --can you picture me sitting here rubbing my flat hands together and grinning like a loon? :D

Yes, I can! Who wouldn't? And you've got so much more to choose from than us.

We spent six hours in that center, and if the car had been bigger, we would have brought more home.

I know we have to redo a big border in the back come spring, and I plan to invest in some new, nice plants once it's done. It's a nice "carrot" for an old donkey like me. :D

I was just wondering: Why do you want to watch ski jumping on New Year's Day? It's not a very Dutch sport, is it?

I have to add, I hear one of our speed skaters got his new irons today. They're very special, with titanum and the works. One of the Italians has the same type. I'm not sure I believe he'll go much faster anyway.

Heh heh heh Droopy, you will need to rent a trailer to attach onto the back of your vehicle next time you go afoot to check-out a distant garden center. ;)

You know Droopy, you should place some before, during and after fotos along with commentary of your border overhaul on the forum, I'll bet there would be lots of folks that would really enjoy seeing the metamorphose...and possibly learn something helpful to them. Think about it.
BTW... I don't buy that "old donkey" bit AT ALL.

Ski jumping on New Years' Day: I don't know how that got started or why. I used to really enjoy it several years ago. I can't really say why I don't find it as interesting as I once did.

:D :D New irons indeed! What you need is a new coach. Ha ha ha.
Well, who knows, they may well help.
I have salties, cola and juice in the house. I am ready for the skating. Only, I shall have to break-away to watch my garden shows on the BBC at 20:30 or so. I mean, I dearly lurve skating, but plants come first.

Did I just see the words,,"Ski Jumping"

(rubbing my hands together, wiggling my fingers,, so ready to type now) Now were talkin!!!

I am fanatical about ski jumping. But dang, i watched the Finland competition, an was about jumping out the window myself,,, Morgenstern won but just 2 pts!!!! Highway robbery i say,, just kidding, he did a fantastic jumps,, but i was still hoping Romøren or Hilde had enough pts to take first an second,, but hey second an third is great too.

Also those sweaters you like Sjoerd, i have 3 an i was told that my blue one is called the Tønsberg pattern. but i have no clue if the others have meaning or placement or not. KB's mom knitted it for me.

Heh heh heh...So the words "ski jumping" caught your eye, did they?
When was that Finland competition anyway?
Well, I looked for Tønsberg patterns, but didn't find any piccies of them.
    Actually they ALL look nice.

Our old camping car couldn't pull a trailer. I could rent a big trailer with driver, though... That's a thought!

We'll see what happens during the Heerenveen event, but I could imagine some new talent would be nice instead of a new coach.

I remember one of our female athletes being interviewed once said she was so worn out, she just wanted to lie down on the coach... I think she meant the couch, but they are very similar words. :D

Biita, I enjoy ski jumping too, but I'm not glued to the set or anything.

The sweater pattern almost everybody knows, is the Marius sweater. Link: http://www.nrk.no/musikk/3829107.html

    Me, I'd take the horse.

Enjoy your decoration time. I like it when the house gets all sparkly. We're still at it here, on and off. Today is stable day, and after that we're going to bake. I'll try and get the 5000 m. Good luck to everybody.

We're baking Christmas figures of biscuit dough whilst walking back and forth trying to see what's happening, but every time I get to the set, it's ski jumping!

I'll probably manage to get the results later, once we're done baking.

Ho Ho Ho... It didn't turn out too badly, I must say.
We have finished decorating now and have erected out "tree" and made a wreath.
I was wondering about posting the piccies, but I'm not sure if I should post them on your wreath thread
or separately. If you would rather i made a different thread you can tell me, for I do not have "long toes" as we say here. hahaha.

Congratulations on your gold medal on 5000. Bøkko gave you a run for it, though...

Please post your wreath in my wreath thread, the more, the merrier.

And congratulations to Scotland for winning the Curling EM. Well done!

Thanks for the congrats...but Bøkko is still ahead with the accumulative all-rounder points. I think that our best girl was 4th in the 1500. Not too bad for her, she is new blood and improving.

Eileen will be happy that Scotland did so well in curling.

AARRRGGHHHHHH!!!!!!! What the heck was that, (ski jumping that is) I am having a fit here,,lol. Anders Jacobsen got hurt in practice, is in the hospitol, can't jump until German jump week. I sure hope he is okay. Ljoekelsoey, geeeez i mean this man has been doing so good, this week he didn't even place in the top 20!!,, Bardel did really good tho. Hilde placed 3rd, thank goodness. I was so excited for him. And ofcourse Morgenstern of Germany placed 1st. Geez he is just unstoppable. Amazing jumper. Heres the best part tho (sarcasm going on here) We hosted this weeks ski jumping in Trondheim!!! And we couldn't do better than we did, an its our own home country,,,, sheesh, i need an aspirin.

Speed skating wise,, Bøkko won!! yeah Norway.
