Awwwww Hank they are all beautiful - the ideal kind of family. :-D Your labrador looks good with the Christmas decoration on his/her collar. Can you tell us a little about them all please?

Ahh yes, names. From top to bottom:
    Charlie(paint),
    Hank (paint),
    Jin (paint),
    Desi (lab mix),
    Freddie (cocker spaniel),
    Rocky (barn cat).

Desi's bell began as a decoration, but we liked it so much she still wears it. It sure helps when we're on a trail in the woods.

Thanks for the names of you little family Hank. So much better than referring to them as the dog, cat or whatever. :-D Looking forward to getting to know them better.

Lovely pets Hank! I love the second photo, Hank (named him after you or vice versa for your username?) looks very relaxed. Quite the poser :D

Does Desi like his little addition? Was he annoyed with it initially?

    Thanks for posting :D

Oh! So much explaining and such poor typing skills I have.

Ok, Hank was called Rain when we bought him. We thought that was rather dumb, and after a while we saw that he had a personality that was a mirror of mine. Plus add that his grand sire is Hank-A-Chief, one of the most famous paint studs from the midwest. The decision was easy.

Next, Desi is a she, short for Desperado. She was a suprise that my wife brought home after vacationing up north with the horses. The short story is that a hunter from the "Desperado Ranch" found her in the woods starving and full of porcupine quills. It's a wonder he didn't put her down right then. Thankfully he took her in, they nursed her back to health, then my wife adopted her. Desperado is a mouthfull when hollering at a dog, so we shortened it. Oh, and she doesn't mind her bell one bit.

really inspiring! thought of expanding my family a bit more...nevertheless, we stick to just cats and dogs who peacefully live with each other...the kittens could suck milk from the dogs and they don't mind it!.. :D :D :D

Thank you all. Freddie is adorable and he knows it. Took him camping this last weekend and he had a blast. Poor fella is getting old (11) and he's slowing down a bit, hearing is going, and his eyes are getting cloudy, but he's still a ham.

Yep, Rocky's a huge monster, but a big lover. I taught him to sit on my shoulders when he was a baby, and he still wants to do it now with all of his 19 lbs.

Cajunbelle - horses aren't too expensive, but all of the stuff you have to get in addition to them is (saddles, trailers, big truck, feed, show clothes....the list goes on....)
