This spider is chewing a Daddy Longlegs. It is half way through its meal and you can see the long legs of the Huntsman Spider.

I have to counter-reply - nice shot! Very sharp, great color reproduction!

May I ask what you're using for a macro rig and lighting?

Excellent DoF with the focus right where it should be.

    Adrenalynn -thanks.

It was taken with a Nikon D60 together with a 105mm macro lens. My settings were F13, ISO 200 with flash. To avoid motion blur, I had a remote shutter release. The camera was mounted on a tripod. A friend added a flash under its face.

Wow! That's a really patient spider! :) I'm impressed with your results with such a comparatively simple setup!

[I take a _lot_ of spider photos ;)]

Thanks kindly for sharing your setup!

Perhaps it was busy enjoying its meal. It was on a vertical pipe and ran away from me a couple of times but it came back after one round. Ha!

Hard to get the scale, but at a guess - that's a pretty big critter! 3cm long body?

Woot! I was trying to scale against the texture of his backdrop. I'm not terribly familiar with your spiders over there.
