Lovely pic @marlingardener ,Timi looks so cuddly. No all the dogs my parents had, and they were never without any throughout their lives ,were trained not to climb up on furniture or go upstairs....or in the case on one of my childhood homes which was a bungalow, go into bedrooms.
Sjoerd, whatever pet we had was our favorite, subject of favoritism! Oreti, our dogs were given the run of the house, as long as their paws stayed on the floor! Your parents sound as if they were lovely people with very well-behaved dogs.
Thank you @marlingardener . I maybe bias ...but yes they were lovely people. They were each given a puppy when they were children and from then on they were never without a dog/s . Even in his 80's ( and by then ,sadly, living alone ) my Dad still had dogs in his life right up until he was 92 but unfortunately spent the last couple of years without furry companions as he was too frail to provide them with the care or attention they would need. During the final 10 years of owning dogs he rehomed 4 dogs from the Labrador Trust......so being older they were well matched to Dad!!
Such a cute photo! I have a similar cat, and he's very active. He loves to play and run on the play structures we set up for him. He spends hours chasing them around and pouncing on them. When he's not playing, he likes to curl up in his favorite spot by the window and watch the birds outside. It's great to see how much joy he gets from his toys and playtime. Timi must be a very good cat to be getting plenty of rest.
