Got some new curtains in livingroom

    Not a huge deal, except for the fact I had to find a curtain rod near 130", and I did find one without having to special order. I inherited vertical blinds that I did not care for with the house. The curtains fit the room much better.

    Here's the before pic, before we removed the carpet. I tried to "make it work" by painting the walls, but it never worked, especially after going to the wood floor. They blinds were a gray cast, all my decor was in browns.

    Here's the new curtains & wood floor. I like it much better. Sorry about the blurry pic.

    Oh, I like the look of the room with the new curtains. Makes the room look more inviting and comfy.

    Oh those curtains really soften the room Toni. :) Soooooooo much better than the blind. I'm glad you chose the two colours as a block of one or the other wouldn't have looked as good. Well done!!! :sete_005:

    The lamp against the curtain really adds to them. The colours are very similar to my county's colour, maroon and white :D That county being Galway in Ireland.

    It really softens the room, and makes it so inviting. Very nice!
