Great Meadows trip

    My husband and I took a trip to Great Meadows, a nature preserve that is mainly water. The water lilies were still in bloom. These photos don't do them justice.

    The seed head just starting to form. When fully mature, they look like shower heads!

    What a great place, Cayu. That's a very good foto of you and your man. The background is amazing. I think that I would have enjoyed visiting there.
    I like water lilies and seeing them on your foto's make me think of Friesland.

    After the seed heads dry,, the seeds can be eaten ! Shelled of course !

    There are several parts of a water lily that are edible ! I have never tried any though ! Hubby and kids back then ate the seeds ! Native Americans ground them into flour and used other parts !
