I left my greenhouse door open for a few days because of the warm weather and now I think I have greenfly aphid on my broad beans. They are all over the leaves and there is loads. ( photo / image / picture from CariAnn88's Garden ) Does anyone have any home remedies that I can use rather having to shop buy sprays. I don't want to loose my plant after it doing so well growing.
I use dishsoap diluted in water. About a tablespoon to a quart of water (15ml/liter). If you don't have but a few plants use a pump sprayer, but a pump up pressure sprayer makes the job much easier and faster.
I just went through the same thing. This is what I used and it worked. You may have to spray 2 or 3 times. I sprayed three mornings in a row and they were gone. spray bottle 2 parts alcohol 1 TBS. dish soap 5 parts water
I've took the broad bean out. My other one looks fine(touch wood) They don't seem to have gone on that one.
Well I tried the home remedy but the was even more on the leafs the day after. So in the end I just removed it. My other broad bean looks fine. Just fingers crossed they don't decided to go on that one.
