i have never grown green onions before, i really like them but do they grow by seeds or bulbs, i dont know,thank you margie
You can buy onion sets,, which look like a small dry onion bulb or you can buy the onion starts which are just young onions. The starts will grow quicker and can be used at any stage of growth. Sets take a while longer and are usually grown for green or spring onions ! Either are easy to grow but the started ones are quicker eating. In a pinch I have used a few before they got planted. Seeds take too long so go with the other two options if you want them this year !
