Hello from cold and frozen upstate New York. In an effort to defy winter, I garden indoors hydroponically. There is something soul satisfying about picking lettuce and flowers in January. Winter, bah humbug. ;)

Welcome to you, hydrogardner, from snowless, un-winter-like mid-Norway. :stew2: Hop in and make yourself comfortable. I think I need to look into growing lights and how to widen my window sills, because I also want to pick lettuce in January. :D

Off to check your blog now.

Hi Hydrogardener and a warm welcome to GardenStew. I think 'warm' is the appropriate word since you seem to be having a cold time there in NY :)

Don't forget to check out our blogs, member map and upload any plant images you have to PlantStew for all to see :stew1:

I have posted a few photos and I will check out the rest of the site as time permits. Regarding myself, I am retired, and interests, in addition to gardening, include amateur radio, photography, machine embroidery and history. My pet, and almost constant companion, is a parrot I have owned for more than twenty years. It is hard to ignore a pet that talks....

Welcome from northeast Wisconsin where we know all about the cold too! I look forward to your posts on hydroponic gardening. I'd like to learn more about it and possibly give it a try if I can find the space to do so.
