We've been having quite a few Frits lately. It seems all those instars on the passion vine matured and are now flitting about. They seem particularly fond of the zinnias.

Just beautiful Jane. We have Peacock and Red admiral butterflies here. They are always a welcome sight in the garden.

Mart, could you have Black Swallowtails? They are lovely and very large. Some have more blue than others (don't ask me why!).

Mart, so happy to help identify your butterfly! Swallowtails lay eggs on parsley, dill, and lantana. I'd bet you have all three in your garden/yard!

upload_2021-9-10_23-44-28.jpeg We have been watching moths just lately, and saw this one - pretty chalk carpet moth.
The peacock and admiral butterflies have been more prolific here since I started the new flower beds, and I've spotted a few blues.
