I bought it as a half-standard for my late sister.

It grows roses all summer long so I am very excited to see the first bud.

    Thanks Toni,
That Image is from where I bought it but if it comes true to what my sister did have then its going to be lovely.

I will see in a few weeks when i visit my sister's home what kind it is and take a pic. Best to wait till mid summer.
Mine cost £45 with postage so it better do something.............:stew2:

Ebay have it like this so all different.

Those are Images off the net but I am certainly hoping they will be like that on mine when summer comes. At the moment it will be building roots and making new leaves.

Thanks everyone, appreciate all your replies.

That is a luscious-looking rose, Kate. I hope that yours does well for you. I shall stay tuned to see what it produces this summer. Where did you buy this one?

I ask because when I was in your country a few years ago, I went to a place called Peter Beal's to look at his selection. I was quite impressed. I looked at the various types and saw what I liked and then bought it here when I got back home.
--but what a place! I understand that Mr Beals has passed away now; hopefully his staff will carry on the tradition.

At any rate the delicate appearance of this rose that you have really does look attractive.
    Good luck with it, meid.

I hope it does the same Sjoerd,
I have three choices which rose it was my late sister had which is still at her front door border.
It could be Happy Retirement which I have bought and appeared here in the thread.
Happy Birthday.; that is a cream so not that one.
Celebration rose; no, thats a yellow rose.
I should be on the right track with Happy Retirement.

Another good rose for long flowering is Iceberg. My late husband and I bought that in the 70s.

Well, I really like roses, but I have but one. The size of my lottie does not allow room for more than that. My rose is a Westerland. I find it an apart rose with an apart fragrance.
