I put my name in now and then. Amazing what I find. This story is from a few years ago that I had forgotten about, it is not my site or anything to do with my website. Have a read: Birds and Nature. Perhaps you could leave a message for them.

It's so nice to see how much others appreciate your work Derrick.

I did and found out not much about myself. There are however loads of imposters using my name.

I found loads of my stuff, lots of photos but most gave me credit. My book was well advertised on lots of book stores. A few images that Visuals Unlimited had sold but I got a credit, plus I was paid for it. Insects were well used and birds. I only look in Google about once a year to see what's going on. It's very interesting. I think my website helps.

It seems at one time I was the president of the University of Richmond (The Spiders!).

I found nothing under my maiden name, but under my name in my first marriage I found that there was a woman in Florida with my first and last name, driving a school bus in WPB, she was there years after I had left and moved back to Texas....spooky because in the 70's I did live in WPB, and for a couple of years I did drive a school bus there.
I have not found anything on me since I remarried in 1980.

There were a couple of other people with my name, but I looked over 10 pages of stuff and most were about my book or photos. I did see that most gave me credit, they may of asked to use them, some, in Visuals, I was also paid.

According to Google I'M DEAD!!! Well at least someone with my name is. I'm sure I saw myself in the mirror this morning so I appear to be OK.

I was reported dead too,but it was a different Derek, I had an email from a guy here checking up if it was me. Over all there were not many notes that were correct, I must have a strange name.

More on me under my pseudonym than under my real name.
