    Hiya , Im Baccy !

Have been recommended this site by she who shall be nameless !!!!

I live in the Garden of England (Kent) am married, have three grown up daughters, a grandaughter- oh yes and a husband of nearly 24 years!

I have a very small garden which I enjoy pottering around in. not brilliant with plant names etc, but if I like the look of them I give it a go in my garden.
We have also just bought a property in Greece, so if you dont see much of me in the summer, then thats where I am.

I have a really mad sense of humour and love to have a laugh with people.
So apologies in advance for that!!!!

Morning Baccy! Now, I recognise the name, but can't place it......

Oooo gardening in Greece, all those gorgeous mediteranean plants and flowers....and sun...you remember, that big yellow thing that hangs in the sky for about a week in August!

Plenty of fun things to do around here as well as the more serious stuff so
sit down with a nice hot cuppa and have a look see for yourself. Hope you approve and decide to stay. :D

EJ you probably remember Baccy from the RG boards a long time ago. :)

Welcome to GardenStew Baccy :smt031 That's an interesting name, do explain. Nice that you know a few faces in here already, that always helps :D

I lived in Malta for a year and a half so I know what a Mediterranean summer is... and it's hot, hot, hot :smt119

Hello from Ohio, USA. What part of Greece? I have been to Athens, Thesalonika and the island of Corfu. I liked Cofu the best. Very pretty and nice weather in the summer too. Some of the bluest skies I have ever seen.

HeyFrank, I had my first and last raw octopus in Malta. If I hadn't had 6 or 8 beers, I don't think I would have gotten it down. It was fresh too. Was still wiggling when the guy cut the tentacle off and skinned it. :D

    Hi Capt,

Can't say I savoured raw octopus but I did have some cooked octopus there and it was delicious. You must have been quite intoxicated to eat raw octo :smt030

Thanks for the welcome everyone :D

The name Baccybabs came about because I needed a name change as I was being 'stalked' by someone on line. My friend was visiting at the time, and as she rolls her own cigs, I used Baccy, the Babs bit comes from her second name ..

Re Greece .. We have house in Western Crete in a tiny typically greek village called Melissourgio, near Kolambari. We only bought it last year, but eventually we shall live there permanently.

I adore all greek food, especially the seafood .. !!!!!!!

Anything else you want to know, please feel free to ask...btw have you seen my posting in 'Pets' ?

    :D
