I have stainless steel appliances, the floor color is not yet picked out neither is the counter top color. I'm thinking a greyish granite counter and an off white with beige tile? Suggestions? I have 3 walls in the kitchen two of them have knock down finish which I want to spounge paint and the other is a flat wall (biggest) which the fridge sits against. I'm thinking a redish color for my base and an orangish color for my spounge. Does anyone have specific colors that would look good? And what color should that third wall be? Thanks in advance!!!

    Welcome to GardenStew Bachalor :smt023:

I think a photo would be very helpful here as it would help to get the creative juices flowing so to speak. Can you post one for us by any chance?

For colour choosing I really like to use the online tool on this site http://www.colorblender.com/ Try tinkering around a bit with it and you may find colours that tickle your fancy.

Hope you can get a photo for us!

    Hi bachalor!!

I think that a soft yellow would look good in your kitchen so that the accent wall (the red one) would have more impact. However I'm no expert and the link that Frank has posted should give you a much better idea of what looks good together. WELCOME to out forums - please stick around as we love to have new folks to chat to. :-D

Cabinets are going to remain that color, dish washer and stove and hood are all being replaced with stainless steal, and the hardware on the cabinets are going to be changed to a brush nickle to match light fixtures. So with that in mind I need color suggestions for tile, counter tops, and wall paint.

Second pick is of knockdown wall. I want to paint that a red base color then spounge paint with an orange.

    pick your countertop first

I would pick your countertop first, since that will be the hardest thing to change later. Since most of the colors you're thinking about using are very warm (red, off-white, beige), make sure that your countertop material has some of these colors as well and isn't a cool gray.

Personally I love a splash of red in a kitchen.
