Recently my house was broken into, so I decided to improve my security system as well as to change my entry doors. Any advice will be appreciated!!!
If it is a newer house I would hesitate to install a metal door and metal frame. A new house can settle enough to bind doors or windows and it would be very difficult to adjust the door. If it is an older house and well constructed I don't think there would be a problem. I installed a metal door and frame in a new detached garage and have a binding problem. The only way I can fix it is to remove the exterior siding and interior paneling.
John that is terrible news. I love the Art Deco look of the second steel door. Hopefully the metal door will deter any further break ins.
