Please help me with living room ideas. [Pardon the clutter..I just woke up].

    1) What Coffee table/Side table SHAPE AND COLOR should I choose?
    2) What color/shape TV table should I choose? I dont want to buy a whole TV console/entertainment table, but a decent and small TV Table.
    3) Please suggest lighting options. In this picture { http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk71 ... ure008.jpg }, I have put an easy to install shop light since I dont know how to deal with Ballasts and stuff.

Please suggest me links to specific furniture which you think will match with this setup of Sofa, walls and carpet/rug.

In my area, I have Ikea, Walmart, Target, Lowes, HomeDepot, CityFurniture, RoomsToGo, Furniture Power, Homegoods/Michaels/OldTimePottery..phew!!

#2--tv stand. We became big fans of the corner tv stand. We'd inherited a larger one that took up an entire wall, so we sold it at a garage sale. You'd have to figure out if your furniture would fit correctly, but that empty corner seems like a great candidate for a corner tv stand.

Hi Spinach Soup, and welcome! I'm no interior designer but maybe I can help a tiny bit. I would bring in some color in accessories. You have a lot of beige going on there. I see you have some green and rust(?) in your rug. If you like those colors use them in your accessories (candles, throw pillows, wall decor, window coverings, etc). As far as lighting goes, floor lamps and table lamps work great in apartments where ceiling lighting is poor or nonexistent. It looks like there are palm trees on the rug which suggests a tropical feel. Maybe some rattan tables? Do you have a Pier One in your area. That would be a great place to browse for ideas. Also try "googling" tropical decor ideas. I'm sure you will find tons of ideas.

Good luck and please post your "after" photos.

PS I'm sure someone else will come along with great advice. There are many talented folks on this board.

You have a good start with your comfy sofas. The rug with its beiges and greens dictates the palette of the room. I would suggest painting some or all of the walls
a soft shade of green, such as Benjamin Moore Silken Pine 2144-50 to tie in the green and surround yourself with a little color. Keep the trim white.

I agree with the idea of a corner TV stand. If you like the contemporary feel of your present TV stand (steel and black) you could try to find one with straight contemporary lines like that. In that case, a metal and glass coffee table (probably rectangular is best) would go nicely. It would be best to match the "feeling" of these two pieces by matching the metal finishes. Bronze would be good. I'm not crazy about that geometric pattern of the sofa back cushions. If I were you I would flip them over so it doesn't show so much. A piece of art on the wall to the left of the TV in the corner would be great, especially if it had some green in it. I would also add a tall potted palm or ficus for more green, and a standing lamp in between the two sofas. Good luck with everything!
