Excitement! There's some buds forming on one of my Easter cacti (with Begonias, Tradescantia cerinthoides, Gibasis geniculata, Callisia cordifolia, some Kalanchoe blossfeldiana that I wanted to see what it would do in lower light: Closer view:
Love all the pix. My cactus has never bloomed. I'm going to put it outside this summer and see if that helps it along.
No, I have no clue as to which one it is. I got starts from my ddil.and she got hers from family as well.

All of the pics at the link are Thanksgiving cactus, Schlumbergera truncata. That's the most popular & prevalent of the holiday cacti, usually sold with labels that say Christmas cactus.
