    Last year my neighbor gave me this lovely dahlia. Dahlias won't survive the winters ourside here. I found that out the hard way several years ago. I didn't want to lose it so since I had the room, I just brought the whole thing inside before we started getting freezes here. I just cut it down to the dirt, watered once a month. Early spring brought new growth. It was too early to set it outside because of freezing tempatures. I just kept it inside, so this year it will remain a houseplant. I know if I were to set it outside it would fry. Its over 5 foot tall and just gave me its first bloom. 20170613_140020.jpg

    Nice bloom Bosque,..you should be able to split the Tubers after this season.

    very pretty. if you do any propagating they are very east to take cuttings from and root. I have done it on ones I needed more of for a project I had a couple years ago.
