Oh yes Eileen,..the comparison in dog sizes would only be appreciated if they were standing together :),..Foxy Molly has even smaller back feet,..my cat 'Clara' had bigger feet,..Foxy Molly is about the same size as a Jack Russell but with longer legs.

Yes indeed it was a lucky meeting with the dog and myself,..no complaints about her yet though she has a hang up about Vets and anything approaching her that looks like an injection or medication,..when i had to visit to have her stitches replaced it was a must to have her asleep,..same every visit,..it was the nurse and me holding her down with a towel covering her head while the Vet gave her a shot,..what a struggle for such a small dog,..i tried to measure her yesterday but as soon as i came near with the tape measure,..personality changed,..i will have to work on this as she will probably need something done in the future.

Who is disgusted at the cat sharing the couch,..then to see the cat stick out its tongue lol,..its 'Dennis'.

These two adult swans come back every year and have about five to seven young,..they nest in the same spot and guard the same territory,..i warned them this week,..do not fly to South Carolina USA as they shoot swans,..the swan is protected this side of the world,..woe to anyone trying to harm them,..they mate and remain together for life.

I do believe that most of them know its a camera,..many of them look away from the camera,..could be down to the wee light or perhaps not trusting what is being pointed at them,..getting them to stay still is very difficult

You'd never know what she's gone through would you? The hair has grown back nicely and just in time for the really cold weather. She seems to love the camera and poses nicely for you. :) I love her little white chin.

Eileen,..yep she surely has gone through the mill,..she is getting more trusting every day plus learning seems to come easy,..i can let her off the lead and walk away over 100 yards,..she keeps an eye on where i am and when i stoop and slap my hand on my leg she comes back very fast.

Lovely photographs Philip!! If Molly lay down among the fallen leaves and stayed still I doubt you would be able to spot her. Our trees are bare now, due to hard frosts, so it's nice to see that yours are still retaining some of their leaves.

Eileen,..i was thinking at the time i took that picture that 'Autumn',..would be a good name for Foxy Molly,..yes she would be hard to spot were she to lie down.

No hard frost here as yet,.. though there was a frost on my car twice this week,..at the same time there was no sign what so ever of frost in my back garden,..Delphiniums that were cut back have grown to over three foot and blooms started,..weird weather,..the images below were taken between one thirty and two thirty.

You could expect this if there were a part eclipse but not so.

Great photographs Philip!! I don't think I want it to be as dark as that so early in the afternoon though. We have to put our lights on around 3.30pm - 4pm which is still way too early for me.
