Actually got to see a broad billed humming bird enjoying nectar from the flowers in my back deck planters. Of course no chance to get a picture since I had no camera in hand and they're gone in flash. Such an elegant creature with stunning blue green colors.
Hummers are fun to watch. Their acrobatics in the air amazingly fly thru in and out of complicated situations, yet never seem to crash.
