Actually worked in the front yard for a change today. Had to snap a few pics while it was all cleaned up & weeded.

This is part of the "new" garden, planted some annuals today to fill in the holes.

Took out 3 Dr. Huey roses here, filled it in with some annuals and Knockout rose. My found penny bowling ball was cracked, but still got a new home next to the front door, inside the fence!

None of this was planned! I got $50 for my birthday. :-D The hardware store was selling flats of annuals for $3.99 and the knockout roses were on clearance for $6.00. Hanging baskets were on clearance for $3.50.

Hubby's going to build me an arbor too!

Hubby's building me a cedar trellis this weekend to put in the front yard. It'll go over the little bridge that's actually at the bottom of this pic (but got cropped out), I've got a huge clematis there. Also removed 3 more Hueys in that area too.

    Thanks.

I got the red knockout, and it's small, but for $6, I'll take it. It looks pink in the pic, but it's not...just bad lighting.

Everything looks great. I especially love the campsis vine rising on its bare stems to splay in beauty atop a wooden fence. The trellis sounds exciting too. I have a bowling ball sitting on my table with a stack of pennies next to it thanks to you. :)

The picket fence is the perfect thing for you - it just fits somehow. What does the sign say that's hanging on the fence? I can't read it... *squints*

    Clearance flowers! Woot!

The sign says Friends Make Life Bearable. We purchased this house 8 years ago. Nothing is as it was other than the light gray house color. Anything painted white used to be dark gray.
