Calling all Stewbies! In case you missed the announcement a few days back here's a summary - we are upgrading to a new forum software in the next few days. There are two items of note: - Your password - Site downtime Your password Unfortunately since the old software and new software are quite different your existing password will not work with the new system. Therefore you will have to manually reset your password once the upgrade is complete. Don't reset your password before the upgrade, only after. You will be able to reset your password at the following link (please note this link will only become active after the upgrade is complete): http://www.gardenstew.com/lost-password/ You can also contact me directly using the contact link at the bottom of the page if you need assistance. Site downtime During the upgrade GardenStew will be offline for a good few hours. My best estimation is 6-8 hours. I'm aiming to perform the upgrade on Thursday. So if I'm understanding you correctly.... For most of the day Thursday we won't be able to access the forum. When we can, we'll have to actually log in, and in order to do so we'll have to follow the provided link to manually re-set our password. Right? OK so here's a question from this time zone challenged old lady ..........and I don't even know how to ask it lol! Um....you're in Ireland, right? I realize even though you feel like an old friend, I really don't know much about you. So, assuming you're over there, what time will it be here in the US when you're doing the changeover there in Ireland? Will it actually be most of the day Thursday for us?
Frank, Thursday (or whenever) is great--that's my shopping day also, and the weather is supposed to be good so I'll be outside, too. Wherever I am, I'll be praying for you (having no idea what an upgrade entails, I assume it is arduous and exhausting.)
Correct Ronni I am going to perform the upgrade in the early morning US time so it's likely that you'll all wake up to a new look The main tasks are backing up the data, converting the data, moving new files over and then configuration of website settings. As the database is quite large now it will take a little while.

OK... I sure hope I can figure it out. I know just enough about using the computer to be dangerous... Frank, I'll let you know if I need to be walked through it.
