I'm looking to find out what I've got coming to my Zinnias. I think it's a Cloudless Sulphur but I'm not certain. Cloudless Sulphur? ( photo / image / picture from Louisiana Man's Garden ) moderator's note: added a more descriptive title to topic
Hi, Looked in my Butterflies Through Binoculars book and it appears to be your identification is right. There are two others that appear similar, Lyside Sulphur and Statira Sulphur, but they don't seem to be native to Lousiana. I live in NJ, I don't recall seeing that brilliant green butterfly here...I would like to...I've been enjoying the butterfly show on my zinnias too, and hate to even dwell on the approaching cooler weather.
