Is this a Great Golden Digger Wasp?

    Ah!! Great website with good photo. I hadn't been able to find such a clear photo.

    We have had these benign digger wasps in the terrace around our pool. They are very gentle, never harming anyone. You can walk through them as they hover about their nests, they part as you pass by. I also see them hovering about my late summer garden, ? drinking necter. Very nice.
