    Anniversaries are such important landmarks, and every new one that you experience has such a special meaning/s. In these days and times when some folks divorce so quickly and easily...staying together is a sort of exception. It does mean though, that when you wake up in the morning you know that the person lying there beside you is there because he/or she is there because they want to be. So then anniversaries are important for celebration, but also a sort of reassurance.

    Thank you all for your kind words and thoughts. We celebrated our 47th by mowing a bit, picking squash, and having a lovely dinner here at home. Not exciting, but very satisfying.
