Now it is time to introduce yourself to the community and you can do that here...

Please tell us your name, what your interests / hobbies are, or anything else you would like to share with everyone. :)

    I'll start:
    Name: Frank Kilkelly

    From: County Galway, Ireland 8)
Interests / Hobbies: I am a web developer by education but love gardening! I grew up on a farm so I got my hands dirty that way. I guess gardening runs in the family as my brother is a garden designer.
I decided to start up GardenStew.com to enable everyone from whatever country to share their knowledge of gardening and home improvement so that others may benefit.

    Hi everybody,

My name's Eileen and I'm from Scotland. I have a completely organic garden which I love. My other interests are natural history, puzzles and computers. I'm an ex- veterinary nurse and live in a 17th century cottage in a conservation village.
I am married to Ian and have three grown up children (2 sons and a daughter) all of whom have now left home. 8)

Hoping to get to know you all soon.

Hi Eileen and welcome to the Garden Stew forums.

Completely organic you say, that must be a chore to maintain :) I hope you enjoy the forums, it is a really new site but it will become a nice size community very soon.

By the way I like your signature, where did you find it? :?:

    Hi there,

No, my garden is now in it's 20th year and, believe it or not, nature does most of the work for me nowadays. Organic gardening has always been a way of life for me and I don't find that I have many of the problems that others gardeners do. I have insects here that prey on aphids (weyhey!!) and birds that take the snails and slugs. We make our own compost and allow the plants to do their own thing. The only jobs we really have to do is weed (by hand), feed, water, (in dry weather) prune, cut grass and maintain the ponds. Sounds easy and it really IS. :D

I got my signature from a free animation site on the web. Am I allowed to post it's addy here or not? I'll wait to hear from you before I do. It's got loads of cool gifs but doesn't allow hotlinking.

Thanks for the welcome I think I'm gonna love it here!! :D

A self-maintaining garden, wow that must be every gardeners dream, well done :)

Sure you can post the address to the free animation site here, it will give the other members a great resource to look at. Maybe even start a new thread so it is easier to find.

Just wanted to welcome you to the forums too Lynne!! I've only been here a short while myself and am impressed with what I have seen already. I hope to see you around again very soon and look forward to reading your posts. BTW my eldest son, Duncan, is also into genealogy so maybe we can chat about it sometime.
