Sitting in the back of a kitchen drawer where unused utensils hide from curious eyes, this gizmo has been enjoying the life of Riley. Don't worry if you don't know who Riley was, "do nothing" was his middle name. The gizmo was retrieved from the drawer with a "What is this?" comment from my wife. My response of "I don't know" didn't help. This is one of those items that is purchased with a "This will be useful" caveat as it is put in the shopping basket. As it was large, it found a 'convenient' spot in the back of the drawer where it was promptly forgotten along with why we bought it. Now it has resurfaced and we have no clue as to its use, it is 9 inches long and 4 1/2 inches in diameter at its widest, Google was no help either. Any guesses?

    Fencing mask twin pack? :)

In all seriousness though maybe it's for drying off lettuce or other leafed veggies? That's my best guess anyhow!

Looks like it belongs to a rotissiory oven that you put the veggies in. I had a rotissory that had a veggie cage but mine was rectangular.

I don't really know and haven't seen one before but I would fill it with herbs or sweet smelling flower petals and hang it in the kitchen.
I even ran a kitchen store with a seventy foot wall of pegboard full of vintage kitchen utensils.

It seems to be something you would shape like the egg and deep fry it. Let's say Dough or bread or something like that. It reminds me of a deep fry basket more than an egg basket or kids basket, mainly cause of how the handle comes out of it.

I would cannibalize it and use each half to protect seedlings in the garden from those munching bunnies.
