The various hostas are just beginning to unfurl but a few mini hostas are already showing their stuff. Here are a few. The first two look similar but are totally different sizes.

High ho silver is a little bigger and more robust than...

bitsy gold an even smaller hosta and my smallest surviving hosta.

This little gem is golden tiara and is incredibly prolific and hardy in my garden. I started with one overcrowded 3 inch pot that I divided and have divided those plants once or twice. 890FDA63-7F0A-40B7-AED5-4CA957AB1166.jpeg

This last hosta isn’t really a mini. It’s fragrant blue. A small hosta. The last picture is with it and a small pink flowering almond shrub. A little later it’s leaves will be a beautiful bluish gray green.

I love your minis Jewell. Tell me, what plant is surrounding them in the first few photos? Is it moss?

Soleirolia soleirolii (Mother of Thousands, Baby's Tears) Is the ground cover. It works well for me in the shade where I have lighter soil. Am trying it under a fir tree on the north side of a fence this year. Once established it will cover the bricks or pavement and I am pulling it up and moving it or composting it.
