Below is the moth I took a picture of and have been trying to figure out what the name or type is. Can anyone help?
The possibilities are almost endless. I have looked thru two websites of Moths.... http://www.whatsthatbug.com/category/moths/ http://www.butterfliesandmoths.org/map? ... =151&_fc=1 and have not found one matching your picture. Take a look thru these, maybe you have seen your moth in different poses that could help with the ID. Please let us know what you find out too.
We have a lot of them around here. We call them closet hoppers, but I'm sure that is a family phrase rather than a scientific one. You might check with your local extensive office. Our office has this guy that can pretty much tell you anything about local insects and plants and he has an awesome picture book for identification.
