I was watching a movie about a billionaire in the country Georgia, making a garden using ancient and giant trees. That reminded me that sometimes I watch videos about moving massive old trees. A massive oak in California. The same tree, five years later. Here's another one, this time in Florida I have my doubts about these trees thriving after so much root pruning, but at least some seem OK. This is from the documentary about the Georgian billionaire's moving of many giant trees.
Here's a giant cypress being moved. Not quite so big and old, but still pretty impressive. A beech tree.
They are sort of hypnotic for me. There are other videos too, China, Singapore, Korea. I wish there was more followup so we could see if they actually survive in the long term. This has me inspired LOL. My big aspen tree has an offshoot, about four feet tall. Maybe I will see if I can sever that and move it to a different location.
They have videos on Paul James the Gardener Guy where a huge tree was moved and Paul did a follow up .
