Today is the 7th anniversary of my moms death, she was 55 years old. She died of a massive brain aneurysm, She was in the hospital for 2 weeks before the family decided to turn off life support, she was completely brain dead, for lack of a better term.
One of the hardest decisions I have ever had to make.
I do miss her very much, I think about her daily. She always made people laugh, and didnt mind being a little "extrodinary". She was my inspiration for flowers. She always had potted plants and and flowers. Her favorite was Tulips.

Thank you for all you kind words. Tulips are so pretty! Short lived, but beautiful. I have a few sections of bed that could use some new bulbs.

Lillium_Lover… very sorry for your loss. Sending hugs and prayers your way.

Just spotted this thread. The last two years have been especially painful since the loss of my son. I miss him..can’t seem to fill in the black space in my heart it is still filled with his kindness, his strength and his profound presence. Dear Lord give me the strength to continue this journey thru life without my son….

Lillium, I hope these words console you a bit. I envy you your relationship with your mother. You must have so many happy memories and mental "snapshots" of her. Knowing her as a kind and gentle soul has to ease the pain of her passing.
My mother was very difficult, and when she died, I could not grieve.
Be glad that you miss her, it is better than the alternative.

Lillium_Lover My sincere heartfelt condolences for the loss of your son. May our Heavenly Father give you all that you need to sustain you thru this journey to heal and grow from this time . It does change us forever. That’s so true. My son loved to garden. His favorite flower are Amaryllis . We grew 30 different ones so far. And I will continue on that tradition in his honor every Holiday.
Loosing a child is just to overwhelming… sending blessings your way.
