New Friends calling.

    I sit by an open kitchen window and put out 2 or 3 little suet balls for the birds. They are just a couple of feet away when I photograph them.

    What great close-ups you get. 'My' birds take one look at the camera and generally fly away!! I never get as close to them as you do. How I wish I had a window sill that they could come to. Sadly I only have patio doors to the rear of the house.

    The male Northern Flicker with the red, then the female and the little bird is a Dark eyed Junco.

    It is always great to see the birds that come to visit you. That junco looks like it has one black leg and one pink one. Is that just a shadow.
    We do not have this flicker over here so it is very interesting to see. Our cousin is a ground feeder and is greenish.
    Yeah, great to see your birds.
