If you wait for a borer to appear,, its too late ! They lay eggs inside the stem at ground level ! By the time you notice the leaves wilting,, its too late and you can`t fix it ! Common sense tells you to prevent trouble rather than wait for trouble to appear then try to correct it !

A valid point as well. Decisions, decisions.
I think we'll have to do some more specific research about probable pests in our area.
    Appreciative of everyone's advice!

Ask locals about pests in their gardens to find out what dangers there are. You can then target these things specifically.

Everything is looking as it should. Now just keep watering for a while and see were it goes.

Nature will automatically tell you what suits, and what doesn't. So bulk of your physical labor is done - Congratulations!

Fertilizer wasn't really needed in my opinion, but no harm if you added some. But if I was you, I would just let the Earthworms do their work.

Those trellises unfortunately might not last the entire season if left like that. So they may require maintenance. But that's a good thing to, as the design can be adapted and altered - Therefore it will be fun to see how the design will evolve.

Just don't be disheartened should anything not go according to plan. Instead enjoy every little experience - To me, everything looks just fine.

For pesticide, the best and 100% natural is some type of an extract from the Neem tree.

Either neem or bacillus thuringensis as pesticides.

Your ruccola is a plant that doesn‘t change it’s flavour as it bolts, so they taste just as good. Ruccola will always bolt after a short while except in winter. When you snip the plant, it will continue to try to bolt, but will always be tasty. Great radishes. I will watch again and make some further comments.

@Odif , you are truly appreciated!! Thank you!
That is great to know that the flavor doesn't change on these when they bolt.
We are so excited about the radishes!

Leave one or two radish plants and let them go to seed ! Seeds look like little beans and when tender are excellent in salads or to eat out of hand ! Taste like a mild radish or use in a stir fry ! Can also let them dry and have more radish seed !

Oh wow! Super cool @mart ! Honestly that makes the radishes even more exciting :)
We will definitely let some go to seed in that case. Thanks again!
