I had some parsley in the garden last season, it did fairly well, I dried it and still have some left.
I forget what type it was, this year I ordered 'Forest Green' - (Non-GMO) - Parsley

Adam, if you can find the seed, please try Italian Flat Leaf parsley. It has so much more flavor, and adds so much more flavor to dishes.
Instead of drying parsley, may I suggest that you chop it coarsely and freeze it in tablespoon size "blobs" in a freezer container? It tastes more like fresh and you can use as much as you need. I harvest parsley, chop it up, put tablespoons of it on a cookie sheet in the freezer, and then put the frozen blobs in a freezer container.
You can also make parsley butter by putting fresh, finely chopped parsley in softened butter, then refrigerate it for up to two months. You wouldn't believe how that helps fish, chicken, and most green vegetables!

I've already ordered all the seeds i'll be using, but i'll keep an eye out for this Italian Flat Leaf Parsley or something similar. I plan on doing a lot of Herbs, Oregano, Thyme, Cilantro, Parsley. oh wait a minute seems I also ordered "Italian Plain Leaved Parsley". cool thanks for the tip ill try that.

Adam, Italian Flat Leaf is known by another name--Plain Leaf! It simply refers to the leaves being flat, or plain, instead of the curly parsley used mostly for garnish. The Italian has a better flavor.

We prefer flat leaf parsley too. I grow it in tubs on my back stoop & I can harvest it well past frost here. The outer leaves die off, but the inner ones stay fresh. I even harvested some for our xmas eve dinner this year. (Of course, it has been a very mild winter thus far.)

Mine grows in aisle 20, there is the flat Italian and the curly kind. 90% of the time I harvest the flat kind :) but I haven't figured out how to eliminate the elastic band:confused:. At home I cut a half inch off the bottom and put it in a glass of water in the refrigerator. It lasts quite a while for several dishes.

Hmmm...I may try this when summer arrives.

I also grow the Italian Flat Leaf variety ! I chop it up and freeze in ice cube trays with a teaspoon of water to each cube ! When frozen I remove and put the cubes in a freezer bag ! Just remove the cubes needed !
Good thing is,, Jerry doesn`t even have to bend over to pick his parsley !! :)
