picture perfect pears

    The saying is that good things come in small packages, and these small pears are looking pretty good!

    They are just babies right now, but the deer may leave us a few to enjoy in August. Maybe.

    Those are looking perky. What kind are those? Are they for eating or for cooking?

    We assume they are eating pears (or so the deer tell us.) As to the variety, I don't know since I failed to enter the tree in my garden book, and the tree ain't telling!

    I would bet they are Bradford pears ! Didn`t see any on mine !

    Those look great!
    A lot of ours were lost to late frost. I don't know how many, yet.
    Our dear star away from pears but eat all of the leaves. I did strategic pruning in hopes of reducing that problem.
