I put in some Pink and Blue Pickerels in the "water trough".
So far, only the Pinks are blooming. They aren't super pink, more like a faded pink... but I'm not complaining! Just happy to have something blooming.

The water quality must be to their liking Cheryl. Isn't it great when something comes into flower at this time of year. I hope the blue ones will soon be blooming for you too. :stew1:

    Thanks Luke and Eileen.

So far, no sign of the Blues blooming. And there's another plant called "Snowball" that's supposed to really attract butterflies. Hopefully they'll survive the winter and bloom next year.
I also planted some Gazania's at the end of it. They are doing good... I'll see if I can get a photo of them when they are open.

Ooooh Pink!! and white too!! We have purple ones frequented by humming-bird moths. How deep is the water you have them in? Did the water freeze down to the bottom during the winter?

Jerry... I was expecting a little more pink tint to it... but I like them nonetheless. Hope the blue ones bloom this year too. The tub is around 2 feet deep. And since we've had such a mild winter, I don't even think it ever got even a thin layer of ice. I doubt it'll ever get cold enough long enough to freeze it down to the bottom. (fingers crossed)

Thank you Sabulba (and welcome)... and thanks to you to Theodoros!

Thank you Jewell. There's another plant in there called Water Snowball... it's supposed to smell like baby powder and really attract butterflies. Hope it blooms this year too!
