Is it allowed? If it is, how do I do it and what size should it be?

Hi 2ofus, the best option is to upload to YouTube and then paste the link into a forum post. The cool thing is that when a YouTube link is posted to the forums the video player appears embedded in the post so that it can be played on GardenStew, almost like it was uploaded to here :)

@2ofus If I can just add to what Frank has said. I use Youtube particularly when I just want to share a short vid with friends like family or on forums. When you upload your vid to Youtube there is a button that will give you the option to make it Public (anyone can view it) Unlisted (that is the one if you just want to share it with selected friends or forums) and Private (I don't use this but believe it can only be viewed by the poster)
These options can be changed if you want to, anytime after you have uploaded your vid. Hope this makes sense. Raddang

Yes YouTube is the best option.

You can restrict access to it by not giving it a title just a file number so that only those to whom you've given the link are likely to find it.
There's none of that "are you a robot?" stuff.
Post the link and it's immediately accessible, as Frank said.
You can block or allow comments. If you don't like the remarks people make on the video you can delete them.

I've uploaded a lot of videos of my various hobbies.
The last one was of "'arry our hedgehog," having a scratch Taken on my trailcam.
