Purple five-petal weeds/flowers..what are they?

    Can anyone tell me what this is? It's on a tall, slender stalk with dozens of buds on each stalk. It is not a 'close to the ground plant/shrub/bush'. The individual stalks are about 2' high...and they are in Toronto/Ontario/Canada. Thanks in advance!

    To me, your flowers look like they belong in the Campanula (Bellflower) family. Possibly C. lactiflora.

    Definitely a Campanula. Gee I hope it's not Campanula rapunculoides...I have that growing all over the property and it's impossible to get rid of!
