For Christmas I treated myself to two old house plants I had rather missed and had been unable to find in shops. One was the rosary vine and the other was a purple velvet plant. They were tiny starts for big price tags, but plant joy.

The rosary vine has been a slow start, but will be a lovely window plant this winter. It is even developing flowers on one vine. The plant is so small it is sitting in a custard cup.

The velvet plant has been a surprise. I now have 4 pots each with multiple plants. It takes more maintenance than I usually give my plants but I am finding joy in its velvety appearance. I will get the extra bonus of flowers soon. I remember the flowers as yellow and not fitting with the plant. We’ll see if my memory and opinions are the same.

Do you have any memories of plants you wished to revisit? Between EBay and Etsy you might be able to rediscover them.

I just bought the rosary vine a few months ago. I had a neighbor stop looking for it and when I found it I bought it and I thought it was way too much money too. and she already had found one so now I own one too.

I am wanting some of those rosebud geraniums. I can't find them anywhere for sale here.

Loved those geraniums also. So hard to find all the lovely plants other Stewbies give us privy to, but so much fun searching.:D
