Question about growing asparagus

    Yes Cayuga, you explained the fence quite well. We usually sink a short fence about 6 inches below surface. However, last year we caught 6 or 7 groundhogs and took them to a country field / not a farmer's field / an open field by a utility company. I determined that we wouldn't have any this year, that it would be next year before a new family would take over. WRONG!
    I saw the critter this morning, eating Mulberries which fall from a large tree. If only he would be satisfied with them. He is very smart about the trap, even though it has delicious melon waiting inside.

    Wow, you really have been fighting the groundhog wars! I don't know what to say other than to wish you god luck & perseverance with it.
